Police Major Reynaldo Viernes, Lasam police chief, said they are taking steps to find Camangeg who is missing since Feb. 19.
Viernes said these tracker teams could also find out what really happened to her.
He said they have coordinated with all towns in the province and neighboring provinces to obtain copies of closed circuit television cameras and find out where she passed.
The Cagayan Provincial Information Office has also coordinated with the Cagayan police to find her.
The Lasam police reported to the CPIO that they have received a text message purportedly from Camangeg stating that she is in Manila. However, police doubt that she sent the text message.
The policewoman was identified as Police Master Sgt. Jovelyn Camangeg, 40, of Centro 2, this town.
Police Lt. Col. Amdree Abella, Police Regional Office 2 spokesperson, said Jemma Camangeg, 49, also of Centro 2 here, reported to the PRO 2 headquarters that her sister Jovelyn is missing.
According to Jemma, Jovelyn had just finished the Integrated Transformation Program Seminar (ITP) from Feb. 11 to 17 thru Zoom.
Jemma said Jovelyn left home around 5 a.m. Thursday for Tuguegarao City to apply for a loan and pick up her coffee orders for delivery to Solana, Cagayan.
She was driving her orange Toyota Wigo with conduction sticker BA1788 and wearing maong pants and olive green shirt with “Pulis” marking.
