Three journalists, including two reporters from Radio Television Afghanistan (RTA) and a journalist for the private TV Tanwir, were arrested from their area in Pule-e-Khumri, the capital city of Baghlan province, on Thursday morning, according to Khaama Press.
Journalists were arrested last week right after attending Information Ministry news conference in Naypyitaw, says reporter, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he feared he could also be arrested
In a video clip, Rajiv Kaurav, the Medical Officer of Daboh, can be heard as saying: "How can I file the complaint on my own, when I don't know any of the journalists?"
The arrests of Mohammad Zubair and Teesta Setalvad and the ongoing detention of Siddque Kappan and Fahad Shah highlight the tenuous existence of truth-tellers in a post-truth world.
