El joven fue maniatado, amordazado y ultimado a golpes por tres personas en un tráiler del Campo Morichal PDVSA, en Monagas, donde estaba destacado. El Eje de Investigaciones de Homicidios Monagas, realizó las pesquisas de rigor y detuvieron a los presuntos asesinos, a quienes identificaron como Gregoria del Carmen Hernández Hurtado, de 19 años, Graciela del Valle Coroy Villarena, de 30 años y Fidel José Rodríguez Martínez de 30 años.
