As a mom of three preschoolers and active in our family’s eighth-generation dairy and related businesses in Clovis, I wonder if the Biden administration truly understands the impact its moves against oil and gas production will have if they are not reversed.
The administration’s recent suspension of energy leasing on federal lands in New Mexico and elsewhere across the country directly threatens the public school system in our state because more than half the revenue oil and gas brings to our government is spent on education.
All of New Mexico’s children surely need those dollars.
