Joe Kelly pitched a scoreless inning for Low-A Rancho Cucamonga on Friday night, the first game of his minor league rehab assignment as he works his way back from right elbow/forearm inflammation.
Dodgers pitcher Walker Buehler appeared in his first game in 451 days, on a rehab assignment for Triple-A Oklahoma City. He was followed by six scoreless innings by Gavin Stone. In Double-A Tulsa, Ben Casparius impressed on the mound as well.
Kolten Wong had hit and hit in three games in Triple-A. 18-year-old outfielders Kendall George and Josue De Paula thrived in Low-A. Also, injured Dodgers veteran pitchers Blake Treinen and Jimmy Nelson continued their minor league rehab with Oklahoma City.
Dodgers pitcher Nick Frasso pitched six scoreless innings in his Triple-A debut for Oklahoma City. Yusniel Díaz had a career-high five hits, including two home runs for Double-A Tulsa, and is hitting over .400 in August.
Veteran hitters Kolten Wong and Óscar Mercado joined the Dodgers on minor league deals and are now in Triple-A Oklahoma City. Also, Dalton Rushing homered in both games of a doubleheader for Great Lakes, and Jerming Rosario struck out seven in five scoreless innings.
