Berthoud's Corinne Roberts touched the wall to finish the 200-yard breaststroke less than a second after Liberty Common freshman Josie Stahl, but there was no disappointment from the Spartans' record-holding junior.
Berthoud senior Jen Conlon touched the wall at the end of the 100-yard breaststroke, turned toward her teammate Corinne Roberts in the lane next to her, and the two embraced following a 1-2 finish in the event.
