“We approached the game a bit differently than our usual line-up,” Cate coach Renee Mack said. “With a few exceptions, our seniors began on attack, the juniors in the midfield, and the frosh/soph line on defense.
“This set-up, and then line rotation, allowed the team to stretch their lacrosse IQ in new ways. As a result, everyone played defense, midfield and attack and practiced our team plays and settled low-defense. The scoring was evenly shared and a great effort by all.”
After the game, the team honored its seniors on the last home game. Cate plays at San Marcos on Monday and at Dos Pueblos Thursday.

It s enjoyable to watch the girls go out and earn a win they really had to fight for.”
