A design team is being sought to create a new £5 million home for Bristol’s Creative Youth Network inside the city’s Grade II-listed Old Magistrates Court [Deadline: 11 January 2021]
The conservation architect-led team selected for the estimated £400,000-to-£500,000 contract will carry out RIBA Stages 4-to-7 of the project to restore and reconfigure the deteriorating Bridewell Street complex which has been abandoned since the 1960s.

The project, dubbed The Courts and planned to complete in 2024, will create a landmark new enterprise centre and home for the charity which helps young people in the Bristol area develop their potential in the field of performing arts and other related activities. Initial plans up to RIBS Stage 3 have been completed by Purcell.
