Boyd was indicted on charges of aggravated attempted murder, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, reckless conduct with a firearm, falsifying evidence, refusing to submit to arrest and violating conditions of release. According to a police affidavit, on the morning of Nov. 18, Boyd entered a Howe Street apartment carrying a gun. The apartment’s resident called police, who responded and chased Boyd to Sabattus Street.
