Marcus Gromofsky
This Cape junior honor roll student has made quite a rip current in the pool this season for the Cape swim team, earning valuable points each time he leaves the blocks. Marcus is Mr. Dependable, said Cape head coach Bill Geppert. “He can swim any stroke, and we can rely on him to turn in great times whenever he steps on the block. He is a bit of a showman who enjoys talking to his opponents before races – not being cocky, just enjoying the moment. Marcus is the consummate competitor. Marcus won the 100 freestyle and swam the anchor leg on the 200 and 400 freestyle relays against Indian River Feb. 1. He plays piano in the Cape Jazz Band and enjoys doing lighting designs for theater shows.
