Is now involved with a white powder scare that started in the campus building this morning. Police say field tests on the substance found at Mccarthy Hall dorm came back negative. However, investigators then found another suspicious sus assistance that they are testing to make sure it is substance that they are testing to make sure it is not ricin. Students have been told they can remain on campus. Police also say a suspect has been identified and that interviews are being conducted in this case. Some neighbors on k street northwest woke to a barrage of gunfire this morning. A man wanted for a recent murder is now dead after he opened fire on officers. A court appearance. He was arrested yesterday on a warrant out of Loudoun County yesterday on a weapons charge. He asked an attorney, and he said he did not want to be extradited back to virginia. He is being held on a 100,000 bo bond. Authorities will ask him about the murders of Nancy Dunning and ron kirby and ruthanne lodato. All three were active in the community and all three killed in their homes. Last week, police said that the strong evidence of the deaths l linked and a possible serial kille killer.
