The wardens completed a 12-week academy that focused on subject matter specific to the Warden Service, including search and rescue, fish and wildlife laws and regulations, boating, fishing, hunting, ATVing and snowmobiling.

A couple and two young children were rescued from an icy lake in Maine after being stranded while out ice fishing during the blustery nor'easter that struck the area earlier in the week.
