Jasen Coley, who is accused of fatally shooting 25-year-old Kenneth Davis on July 3, has a pre-trial conference on Oct. 16 and a preliminary examination set for Oct. 18. He has remained at the county jail since his arrest near Trinidad State Beach on July 5 and is not eligible for bail. Davis and Coley were childhood friends, according to a GoFundMe set up for Davis’s widow.
