Egypt awarded 2022 World University Squash Championships Friday, 5 February 2021 New Giza, in Egypt, has been awarded the 2022 World University Squash Championships - the normally biennial International University Sports Federation (FISU) event is scheduled for June 27 to July 3. Shanghai was due to host the event last year but it was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. At the last hosting in Birmingham in 2018, the team title went to hosts Britain, while English duo Joshua Masters and Lily Taylor won the respective individual men’s and women’s titles. Britain, hosts of the last FISU World Championship Squash event in 2018, won the team title and will defend it in New Giza in 2022 ©FISU
