BRANDON, Miss. (AP) Already sentenced to many years in federal prison, six white former Mississippi law enforcement officers who pleaded guilty to a long list of state and federal charges for torturing two Black men were sentenced Wednesday in state court.
A group of Mississippi officers called the "Goon Squad" was sentenced to prison. Still, Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey should resign or be removed.
Six Mississippi officers who referred to themselves as the "Good Squad" were sentenced on state charges for the torture and abuse of Michael Jenkins and Eddie Parker.
