Police seek help in Potsdam Walmart shoplifting incident

Tuesday, May 11, 2021 - 1:51 pm POTSDAM On April 25, State Police responded to Walmart in Potsdam for a report of a shoplifter. An investigation revealed that at approximately 7 p.m., an unknown female stole a variety of merchandise totaling $174.46. She left the store and got into the front passenger seat of an older model green Chevrolet Silverado. The suspect was wearing a black zip up jacket with white letters, a gray baseball cap, pink T-shirt, black sneakers and blue jeans. The female suspect was also wearing glasses and a black face mask. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Joshua Foster at (518) 873-2776.

POTSDAM — State police are seeking public assistance identifying a woman believed to have been involved in an April larceny from the Potsdam Walmart, 7494, Route 11. Following an investigation into a store report, police allege a woman stole merchandise totaling $174.46, and left as a passenger in “an older model green Chevrolet Silverado.” Police describe the suspect as wearing a black zip-up jacket with white letters, a gray baseball hat, pink T-shirt and blue jeans the day of the incident. Michael Foster, who worked at the University of Delaware for more than 30 years, died on April 29, 2021. He was 74. J. Michael Foster Mr. Foster joined the UD community as music resources supervisor in 1981 and retired in 2010. After retirement he returned in a supplemental faculty role from 2011-14. He taught both college classes and adult continuing education classes at UD’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. He was also long active as a host on the University s radio station WVUD, where he shared his vast musical knowledge with listeners through a variety of programs over the years.
