In an unusual move, several Clarkston police officers spoke about the state of the department during the public comment period at the June 6 city council meeting.
The Clarkston city council held a public hearing for the city’s contentious zoning ordinance rewrite during their regular meeting April 4, before deferring a vote until next month.
The Clarkston city council’s work session March 28 was their first meeting in person since March 2020. Most local government entities returned to face-to-face meetings after vaccines for COVID-19 became widely available, but in January 2022 Clarkston voted to continue virtual meetings amid a rise in Omicron variant cases. The council decided to return to City Hall at their work session in February.
