Dashcam footage has captured the dramatic moment an airplane crashed into the side of a white Lexus after missing the runway. The incident occurred on a freeway overpass in California. Thankfully no one was injured.
The small plane made an emergency landing on Interstate 580 in Livermore, after experiencing technical issues after take-off. Shortly in to the flight, power to the Mooney M20E plane was lost, leaving the pilots with no choice but to glide until the eventual landing spot.
The video (explicit language warning) shows the Lexus which appears to be an IS just as it’s collected by the plane. The white sedan, which looks to have been in motion at the time, continues to push the plane a couple of feet, before stopping. Oddly, the trunk pops open in the process.

A small plane experiencing engine issues was forced to make an emergency landing on a freeway overpass in California, where it struck a car before coming to a complete stop on the side of the road.
No one was injured in the terrifying incident, which unfolded on I-580 just north of the Livermore Municipal Airport on Tuesday after 5 p.m.
The aircraft’s pilot, Josh Redsun, told KPIX he and his father had just started their journey home from Napa when he realized something was not right. He recalled making it about 500 feet into the air before he felt the plane begin to glide downward toward the road below.
