“I think if the NAACP had engaged with us sooner on this, they would see what the district has been doing,” said the district's interim superintendent, Josh Jorn. “Unfortunately, it takes time for the trickle down effect for some of the practices, policies, procedures and professional developments that we’ve initiated to trickle down all the way to our student population, which is where this instance began.”
The district will hold two community open sessions this week for the public to learn more about the search process and offer input on what they’d like to see in the district’s next leader.
