First half goals from Jason Scotland and David Norris saw the Blues to a 2-1 victory over already-relegated Preston in their final home game of the season. Midfielder Luke Hyam could find himself sent out on loan to a lower league club at the start of next season. Manager Paul Jewell feels that the 19-year-old, who signed a new one-year contract earlier in the week, would benefit from a spell playing regularly in League One or League Two.
Town suffered their second heavy defeat of the Easter period as Swansea ran out comfortable 4-1 winners at the Liberty Stadium. Fabio Borini put the home side in front on nine, Luke Moore adding the second before Colin Healy pulled one back for the Blues. Borini netted his second before the break and Scott Sinclair completed the scoring with a second half penalty.
Town midfielder Jimmy Bullard has revealed that he has almost donned Edgar Davids-style glasses due to long-standing sinus and eyesight problems. Bullard returned to training last week having been off ill with a sinus infection.
