Things are about to get interesting because Disney+ just announced the release date for “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” Season 2 and Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bennett are back in the lead roles.
Since the last season of the show, Rodrigo and Bennett ended their off-screen relationship, and her song, “Driver’s License,” about the drama surrounding it, has been one of the biggest hits Spotify has seen.
Season 2 is slated to be released on May 14 on the streaming platform, so go ahead and make sure you set a reminder so you don’t miss the premiere.

Olivia Rodrigo’s new hit song “Driver’s License” was released on Jan. 9 and it’s already topping charts, as well as on repeat in many fan’s cars. If she looks or sounds familiar, you might recognize her from a popular Disney+ series.
The 17-year-old is best known for her role in “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” which premiered in 2019 on Disney+ and was a hit for all ages. She plays Nina Salazar-Roberts, a role she ll return to in Season 2 later this year.
She’s also the singer of “All I Want,” which she wrote for “HSMTMTS” and even went viral on TikTok in 2020. Previously, she appeared on Disney Channel s Bizaardvark and An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success.
