An appellate court ruled Friday that current Warren Mayor James Fouts is not allowed to run for a fifth term this year, overturning the ruling of a lower court that permitted Fouts to run.
The Michigan Court of Appeals Friday ruled that Warren Mayor Jim Fouts cannot seek another term, reversing a Macomb County Circuit Court judge's decision from March.
WARREN Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Joseph Toia ruled in his written opinion and order on March 23 that Warren Mayor James Fouts can stay on the ballot and run for mayor for an unprecedented fifth four-year term.
