JOHNSTOWN Attempts by the Greater Johnstown School District to sell the former Jansen Avenue School have been unsuccessful lately.
Board of Education member David D’Amore recently gave a Facilities Committee update on the available building to the board. That committee met Feb. 2, and is due to meet next on March 9.
He said an outside broker continues to market the former Jansen Avenue School, mostly recently used by HFM BOCES, to the public. He said some interest was shown by a day care, area church and a local business.
But D’Amore said it may take the district awhile before it finds a “viable buyer” for the Jansen building.
