Man, awaiting extradition hearing, granted bail Kern Mayers Social Share A man awaiting an extradition hearing in relation to charges from the United States, has been granted bail after his lawyers raised certain concerns. Counsel Joseph Delves Kern Mayers last made headlines when he was apprehended by the police on December 10, as a man wanted in Pennsylvania, United States (US) and being on that state’s “Ten most wanted” list. Mayers, a resident of Campden Park, was employed at an automotive parts store in Kingstown. At the Serious Offences Court (SOC) yesterday, January 11, the prosecution indicated that their concern in the matter is that Mayers was allegedly on bail in another jurisdiction when he skipped that bail and came to this country.

Article by Social Share Kingstown – The Vincentian man who is on the most wanted list in the American state of Pennsylvania was granted bail when he appeared in court here on Monday. Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne, sitting at the Serious Offences Court, granted Kern Z. Mayers bail in the sum of EC$40 000 (US$14 800) with one surety. She further ordered him to surrender his travel documents and to report to the Questelles Police Station on Mondays between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. until the outcome of his extradition hearing, set for April 4, 2021. Browne also ordered that stop notices be placed at ports of entry and exit, preventing Mayers from leaving the jurisdiction.

In light of the undergoing construction of a bathroom at the beach, where the party was held last year, the Trinity Apostolic Church, its Pastor, Vincent Sobers, and other members, lent the church as a location for the festivities.
