The Ottawa teen charged with first-degree murder in the daytime shooting of a man near a southeast Calgary park won’t be going home for Christmas.
Youth court Judge Gary Cornfield on Monday agreed with Crown prosecutors Melissa Bond and Zailin Lakhoo that there were grounds to detain the now 16-year-old pending trial.

An Ottawa teen charged with first-degree murder in what police say is a drug-related, targeted killing here in Calgary is hoping to be home for Christmas.
