Molnar
STEUBENVILLE A Bloomingdale man who allegedly threatened the life of the Jefferson County judge sentencing his son to prison on a weapons violation has been charged with retaliation.
John Molnar, 61 Salem Township Road 204, was ordered held without bond following his arraignment Monday before Wintersville County Court Judge Michael Bednar.
Molnar, 74, was taken into custody Friday after employees at a local gun shop told Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies they were concerned he posed a threat to the safety of Judge Joseph Bruzzeze Jr. when he tried to buy a cartridge for a 9 mm handgun he claimed a neighbor had given him for protection.

STEUBENVILLE Cheryl Reid struggled to maintain her composure Tuesday as she told jurors tasked with deciding the fate of accused murderer Jason Twiley about the last time she saw her daughter, Brittany Littlejohn, alive.
It was Aug. 10, 2019, two days before her daughter’s body would be found, naked and stuffed headfirst in a garbage can in a garage on Maxwell Avenue, covered only by a red sheet.
