The storm damaging homes and ripping down trees, leaving thousands of people without power. M. This morning. What im expecting is for the storm to weaken, but stall to our south this weekend. There are still some uncertainties on exactly the strength it will be and the exact track. Police believe this was simply a tragic accident, but they are still investigating. Neighbors tell us, they barely heard anything until police arrived. This possible storm is going on to get stronger again . Yeah, were going to have to really watch as it pushes off of the carolina coast over this weekend stalling south of our area. Running into warmer Ocean Temperatures and that may just intensify the storm and bring some very strong winds as well as some gusty now wind speeds 50 Miles Per Hour right now its in northeastern parts of south carolina. A lot of the rain through North Carolina right now forecast to actually push off of the coast by this weekend still is a Tropical Storm. And then it is going to just begin to meander south of our area through the weekend. May even take a turn back towards the new jersey coast by monday and while youre seeing low pressure systems here i want to point out look at the wind speed. Back to 75 Miles Per Hour. So strong
Meteorologist jason brewer tracking the storm. Jason, a number of local spots under a Tropical Storm watch. And now post tropical hermine is making its way northeast wad off of east ward as of the last advisory. The winds are still at 70 miles an hour. This is a powerful and large ocean storm. Keep in mind even the Tropical Storm force wind gusts are going out 200 miles from the center. Something we have to watch very closely, because it could have a impact on southern new england. Lets take a look at the latest Hurricane Center, 5 00 p. M. It shows the storm turning north award and hanging out over the ocean, monday, tuesday, into wednesday. As a near Hurricane Force storm with 75mile an hour winds. Then by thursday its moving away. Keep in mind theres still a lot hour. But we do have Tropical Storm watches and warnings up. Seas in nantucket up to 25 feet, gusting through monday and tuesday. We could see gusts up to 50 mils an hour along the south coast ad the cape and the islands too
