The real estate market has been moving fast the past several months, fueled by low interest rates and pandemic-related lifestyle changes, but no place has been as fast as the city s West Lawn neighborhood.

Mexico: Forest fires, potential strike threaten lemon harvests
May 06 , 2021
Mexican lemon production is being threatened by drought and forest fires, which have destroyed almost 1,000 hectares of the crop, according to a Mexican newspaper El Sol de Acapulco. The situation of citrus producers is very complicated because a lemon factory in La Sabana isn t operating, so it isn t possible to market the product and the fruit that is collected is spoiling, Jorge Luna Sánchez, the President of the State Council of Lemons in Guerrero, was reported as saying.
Luna Sánchez warned that if the site wasn t opened by May 15, he will call on the 14,000 producers to protest and demand that they be acknowledged and provided with a solution.

Quito, Apr 29 (EFE).- Home to more than 500 types of birds, nearly a third of the total for all of Ecuador, the Metropolitan District of Quito offers a wide variety of sites in the urban center and its rural outskirts where people can observe tiny hummingbirds and many other colorful avian species.
The 4,230-square-kilometer (1,630-square-mile) district’s Andean and dry forests, moorlands, valleys and other ecosystems ranging in elevation from 500 meters (1,640 feet) to 4,500 meters all offer opportunities for serious birders and casual bird-watchers alike to lay their eyes on species like the hard-to-find Andean cock-of-the-rock (Rupicola peruvianus).
Just an hour outside the city of Quito, the grounds of the Mirador Guaycapi restaurant is home throughout the year to 27 hummingbird species, according to its owner, Jorge Luna.
