The Russian Olympic Committee’s women’s ice hockey team have been
hit by an outbreak of COVID-19 cases with six players testing positive
on the eve of the start of their campaign at the Winter Olympics here.
Switzerland and Canada have cancelled a warm-up match for the Beijing
2022 men’s ice hockey competition as a precaution, after the former
reported a positive COVID-19 case prior to the contest.
Beijing 2022 has confirmed a 37 positive COVID-19 were recorded
yesterday in tests conducted at the Beijing Capital International
Airport and within the Winter Olympic Games closed loop.
