Currently signed: Raul Ruidiaz, Will Bruin, Alfonso Ocampo-Chavez
How it looks now: This is probably the position where the Sounders are most set, especially if they’re sticking to the 4-2-3-1 formation they’ve played almost exclusively under Brian Schmetzer. Chances are the Sounders aren’t going to be looking for anymore forwards unless something changes.
Raúl Ruidíaz is the unquestioned starter and Will Bruin is his primary backup. Jordan Morris is also a perfectly capable No. 9 if the need arises. The wild card is Ocampo-Chavez, who has been playing more on the wing since turning pro.

Columbus Dispatch-USA TODAY NETWORK
TORONTO, Canada Two teams looking to add another Philip F. Anschutz Trophy to their trophy cases will meet in the 2020 MLS Cup when Columbus Crew SC take on Seattle Sounders FC at Mapfre Stadium Saturday evening.
Seattle (11-6-5), the defending MLS Cup Champions, are back in the MLS Cup Final for the fourth time in five years, however, this time around has a little bit of a different ring to it.
“Yes, it’s miles different,” answered Sounders coach Brian Schmetzer during his pre-match media availability. “Number one, we’re not playing Toronto. Number two, obviously the COVID situation in this country certainly has thrown everyday Americans for a loop.”
