A grieving friend had a tooth and eight crowns torn from his mouth after he arrived at a memorial wearing a necklace belonging to the dead man.
The unnamed victim was invited to a memorial for Ricky Daniele at the house of Brandon Duy Quoc Tran in Ferryden Park, a north-western suburb of Adelaide, in October 2019.
Mr Daniele died in a car crash the month earlier, The Advertiser reported.
The victim was attacked by Tran, Tran s brother Jorden Phong Quac Tran, 26 and Dylan McPherson, 23, shortly after arriving at the memorial because of his chosen jewellery.
The men believed the necklace had belonged to Mr Daniele and it was disrespectful to wear it at the memorial.
