Vaudrin triple-double leads Winthrop over Campbell 94-76

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) Chandler Vaudrin had his third triple-double with 10 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists to lead Winthrop to a 94-76 win over Campbell on Thursday, the Eagles’ seventh consecutive victory to open the season.
Winthrop, off to its best start in program history, defeated Campbell 84-83 on Wednesday.
Adonis Arms had 15 points for Winthrop (7-0, 4-0 Big South Conference). D.J. Burns Jr. added 15 points. Chase Claxton had 14 points and eight rebounds.
Vaudrin had a triple-double of 13-11-14 against USC Upstate on Dec. 13 and his first last January.

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) Chandler Vaudrin had 17 points, eight rebounds and five assists as Winthrop edged past Campbell 84-83 on Wednesday.
Vaudrin made a free throw with 1:01 left for a 77-69 lead, and Winthrop hit 8 of 11 in the final minute to seal it.
Charles Falden added 16 points for Winthrop (6-0, 3-0 Big South Conference). The Eagles attempted 50 free throws.
Jordan Whitfield had 17 points for the Fighting Camels (4-4, 0-1), who have now lost four games in a row. Jesus Carralero added 16 points and five assists, and Austin McCullough had 16 points.

BUIES CREEK, N.C. (WECT) - Senior guard Mike Okauru led four players in double figures with 17 points as surging UNCW recorded its second straight road victory by handcuffing Campbell, 78-59, early Monday at Gore Arena.
The Seahawks, 5-3, entered the contest 1-4 at Gore Arena, but used a stellar defensive effort and balanced scoring to frustrate the Camels, who dropped their third straight and dipped to 4-3. It was the 106th meeting between the two longtime state foes.
Whitfield scores 26, lifts Campbell over New Orleans 79-70

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Jordan Whitfield scored a career-high 26 points as Campbell defeated New Orleans 79-70 on in the Dolphin Classic on Wednesday.
Whitfield hit 8 of 10 shots. He added six rebounds.
Ricky Clemons added a career-best 14 points, Jesus Carralero added 10 off the bench as Campbell is off to a 3-0 start for the first time since the 2011-12 season.
Troy Green scored a career-high 34 points on 12-0f-18 shooting for the Privateers (1-4). Derek St. Hilaire added 10 points. New Orleans cut a 23-point deficit to seven. Having defeated host Jacksonville Tuesday night, Campbell has earned at least a share of the tournament title when it concludes Thursday.
