On the market: Homes for sale in Gresham cost up to $1 4 million and a lot less

On the market: Homes for sale in Gresham cost up to $1.4 million and a lot less Updated 9:18 AM; Gresham grew from a one-night stop by pioneers heading west to downtown Portland into a city in which former berry farms were developed into suburban housing. What bright future? Some Bay County students fret about college options under Florida bill

What bright future? Some Bay County students fret about college options under Florida bill Tony Mixon, The News Herald PANAMA CITY Some former and current Bay County students are concerned about legislators proposed changes to the Florida Bright Futures program. Florida Senate Bill 86, they say, will leave many students with fewer options to attend college. The proposed modifications to the program would require students to view a dashboard after their first year of college that shows the career prospects for their major. That was a modification made following pushback  an earlier version of the bill, which favored students who chose degrees geared toward employment. The earlier version would have also denied or reduced scholarships for those who choose majors that are less fruitful.
