Three teens from Marin County are making history as some of the first female Eagle Scouts.
Virginia Schneider, Stefanie Iojica and Jordan Locke are among the nearly 1,000 girls across the country to earn the top rank for the first time. This comes after the Boy Scouts started allowing girls to join in 2018. The scouts of Troop 1015 had to earn 21 merit badges and complete a large service project to earn the title. It s an accomplishment only 6% of scouts make, according to Boy Scouts of America.
