It all feels like a bit of a blur, says the dad of a newborn with little sleep. On Sunday, my wife and I welcomed our second, our son, into the world and we are thrilled.

Winnipeg s most popular film festival is returning for 2021 adapting to the pandemic in hopes of encouraging viewers. It s been a very challenging year, and in some cases, it s been a very sad year, as well, the Winnipeg Real to Reel Film Festival s creator and director, Paul Boge, says in an online video. In 2020, the festival s 10th year, the festival saw what Boge called staggering attendance numbers. The festival set a record with 5,875 attendees coming through the doors to take in a number of movies. Pastor, author, and theologian Timothy Keller says that while he still has cancer, recent scans have shown a significant decrease in size and number of tumours.

We re releasing our first single off this album. It s called After My Heart and it s a little bit different than the stuff we released in the past, says Jordan Janzen, lead singer of The Color. The video premiere happens on February 12 in Canada at 8:00 pm CST on YouTube. The video was recorded during the band s time of quarantine. This song is a great reminder about God s pursuit of us. This reality that He s not waiting for you or I to fix our problems first. We go through life trying to be good enough or look good enough and that can be so exhausting.

The Color decided to try something different for their upcoming album being released later this year. In October, the band announced on social media that they were looking for fans input. The band had roughly 60 songs to pick through, so they asked for help choosing. It was a really interesting process as we included some fans in the process of picking songs for the album. We had some decisions made at that point, but we asked them to pick their top five favourites and it did impact the final results, says Jordan Janzen, lead singer of the band.
