SAN DIEGO
A man accused of stabbing another man more than 20 times during a fight this month in downtown San Diego pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
Pierce Tostado, 20, is accused of stabbing Jordan Hardgrow in the chest and abdomen around 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 16 on 11th Avenue near F Street. The victim remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, suffering stab wounds to his heart and lungs, according to Deputy District Attorney Hailey Williams.
The prosecutor said witnesses reported Tostado following the victim and “verbally harassing him,” prompting him to turn around and ask the defendant if he wanted to fight.

SAN DIEGO The man accused in a vicious downtown stabbing appeared in court for the first time Wednesday. Pierce Tostado, 20, entered a not guilty plea to charges of Attempted Murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
The victim, 29-year-old Jordan Hardgrow, remains in the hospital as of Wednesday recovering from his injuries. He was stabbed more than 20 times and suffered injuries to his heart, lungs and abdomen.

SAN DIEGO The San Diego man who went missing and was later found at the hospital stabbed more than 20 times is now awake and talking with his family.
29-year-old Jordan Hardgrow underwent multiple surgeries and was put on a ventilator. Wednesday his mom, Michele Hardgrow, told News 8 her son is on the road to recovery. We are grateful, so grateful, she said. He s been able to talk to his dad and his best friend.
Hardgrow s family flew in from his home state of Ohio Sunday.
