The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) should have allowed staff members to have a say in the “alternative arrangements” made for their medical insurance, says the Fiji Public Service Association (FPSA).
General secretary Rajeshwar Singh said this in a letter last week to FRCS acting chief executive officer Jonetani Vuto after the organisation stopped the medical insurance scheme for all staff members from this week.
Mr Singh said FRCS should note that staff members had a 60 per cent stake in the insurance coverage compared with FRCS’ 40 per cent obligation.
