Tonight flooding from the rising Roanoke River has shut down a bridge in salem. Mill lane near West Riverside drive is closed. And water is washing up onto the bridge. Police have set up a detour. And lick run creek in roanoke is continuing to rise as well. Rising waters from the creek have flooded the lick run greenway before at Brown Robertson park. The greenway has not flooded yet but the waters still remain high. And even thought flooding will be a concern for the next few days there is an immediate threat. Police say an autopsy points to a stillbirth. Katherine dellis of rocky mount remains in jail this morning. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
