Anson man, 88, killed in rollover crash Monday off U.S. 277
ANSON – A man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Jones County Monday night, Texas Department of Public Safety said in a news release.
Stanley Leon Kirby, 88, of Anson was killed when his vehicle left the roadway on U.S. Highway 277 about 8.5 miles north of Anson at about 7:25 p.m. Monday, the release said.
He was traveling south on the highway, the release said, when it veered to the right. He drove into a field and rolled the vehicle over multiple times.
Kirby was wearing his seat belt at the time, the release said.
