Officials in Jones County pulled key resources together in order to vaccinate those most vulnerable when it comes to catching the coronavirus.
On Tuesday, the county held a drive-thru vaccination clinic at the Jones County Civic Center. Residents age 65 and older were the focus group for the clinic as people began lining up around 2:30 a.m. that morning in order to get the Moderna vaccine.
Interim Health Director Ann Pike and members from the Jones County Health Department along with Jones County Emergency Services, Jones County Sheriff s Office, local rotarian groups and the National Guard joined together to work to the clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
