Wilson sets Broken Bow debut
Friday, January 22, 2021 – Lainey Wilson today announces her studio album, Sayin What I m Thinkin is set to release Feb. 19 via BBR Music Group/Broken Bow Records.
Wilson co-wrote all 12 songs, which were produced by Jay Joyce. I am proud of every piece of this record and all the people that have helped bring it to fruition, said Lainey Wilson. Finally being able to share this body of work is the most fulfilling and rewarding moment of my life thus far.
The disc includes her current radio single, Things A Man Oughta Know. In high school in Louisiana, one of Wilson s teachers asked her to impersonate Hannah Montana for a school project. It apparently went over so well that she performed across Louisiana, sometimes singing her own songs at the outset.

Veteran songwriters like Jonathon Singleton, Luke Dick and Jordan Schmidt can be found across the 12 songs, each of which was co-written by Wilson. Jay Joyce produced the project.
On social media, Wilson describes her sound as bell bottom country, a niche that includes plenty of tradition but also some progressive impulses. When Taste of Country first caught up with her four years ago, she was remarkable for her songwriting chops, thick Louisiana accent and stories of impersonating Hannah Montana as a job in high school.
