A lawyer representing about 20 tenants being kicked out of the trailer park at the Newport News/Williamsburg Airport is pushing back against their removal and says the airport must pay his clients “just compensation” to give up their homes.
Tenants of the Patrick Henry Mobile Home Park must vacate the property by November after the airport commission decided to close the park. “I feel sad because I don’t have enough money to move,” said tenant Yahaira Martinez-Hernandez. “I don’t have a place to go.”
The Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport is closing its onsite mobile home park, forcing out more than 70 mobile homeowners and their families in the process.
