NCAA Wrestling Championships 2021: Rutgers’ Sebastian Rivera among N.J.’s national title contenders

The last time the NCAA Championships were wrestled, New Jersey stole the show.
The national tournament is back, starting Thursday in St. Louis, after last year’s lost season due to COVID-19. It’s unlikely the Garden State will enjoy a similarly glorious weekend, but there is still plenty for the state to be excited about.
Contenders: These wrestlers could make it to the final round and win national titles.
Sebastian Rivera, Rutgers (141): The Jackson native and Christian Brothers champion should roll into the 141-pound semifinals as the weight’s 3-seed. That’s when the tournament really starts for Rivera. He will likely get a much-anticipated rematch with Penn State’s Nick Lee, who edged him in a thrilling sudden victory win in the Big Ten semis. Rivera will need to reverse that result, then likely knock off Iowa’s top-seeded
