The family of a New Jersey man shot and killed by a police officer near an eastern Pennsylvania amusement park in 2018 will reportedly receive part of a $950,000 settlement of a federal civil rights lawsuit against the officer and township.
South Whitehall Township paid nearly $1 million to settle a lawsuit by the estate of Joseph Santos, a New Jersey man who was shot and killed by former officer Jonathan Roselle, while his family visited Dorney Park.

The top federal prosecutor in eastern Pennsylvania said Thursday he will step down next week when President Donald Trump leaves office.
U.S. Attorney William McSwain, a Trump appointee for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, plans to return to private practice.
