The Last Five Years at the Vaudeville Theatre in London’s West End April 12, 2021 Last updated: April 12, 2021 After a critically acclaimed run at Southwark Playhouse last year and a highly successful worldwide stream with stream.theatre, Jason Robert Brown’s Drama Desk Award-winning musical, The Last Five Years, will play a limited season at the Vaudeville Theatre, previewing from 17 September, with an opening night on 23 September and running until 13 October 2021. Directed by Jonathan O’Boyle, Molly Lynch and Oli Higginson will reprise their roles as Cathy and Jamie. This will be the first time the musical will have had a significant run of length in the West End.

The Last Five Years Exclusive: Jason Robert Brown s The Last Five Years will transfer to the West End after two hit runs at Southwark Playhouse. Directed by Jonathan O Boyle, the production will play at the Vaudeville Theatre for a strictly limited season from 17 September to 13 October 2021, with tickets on sale here. Aria Entertainment and DLAP Entertainment s revival, featuring actor-musicians, first premiered in March 2020 before having its run disrupted by the pandemic. Telling the same relationship in two opposing directions, the production will once more unite Oli Higginson ( Bridgerton) and Molly Lynch ( Sunset Boulevard) for what will be the piece s first significant run of length in the West End.

The Offies recognise and celebrate the excellence, innovation and ingenuity of independent, fringe and alternative theatres across London, helping to raise their profiles and rewarding the new talent that they nurture, which is essential for the future of the theatre industry. Though theatre has been devastated by the Covid pandemic in 2020, there were enough high-quality live shows receiving Offies nominations before lockdown, and between lockdowns, to enable the judging panel to select 47 finalists across 16 of the 28 Offies categories. The winners will be announced at the Offies Awards Ceremony, being held online on 21st February 2021.
