First Lady Jill Biden plans to visit the Navajo Nation later this week, her office announced in a news release on Saturday.
Biden plans to travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico on Wednesday and to the Navajo Nation in Window Rock, Arizona on Thursday and Friday, the news release said.
No further details about Biden s visit were included in the news release.
Window Rock is the capital of the Navajo Nation, which spans more than 27,000 square miles of land across Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. The tribe s government offices are located in Window Rock.
Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez in a tweet on Saturday said the tribe was honored and excited for Biden s visit.
