Harrowing, previously unseen images from 1938′s Kristallnacht pogrom against German and Austrian Jews have surfaced in a photograph collection recently donated to Israel’s Yad Vashem memorial.
Newly released photographs of the assaults on Jews during the 1938 pogrom, which is widely commemorated as the start of the Holocaust, had been kept by a former American serviceman.
