Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has promoted its current head of podcast sales, Kim Norman, to head of commercial – podcast and partnerships as part of a leadership restructure.
Head of streaming sales and operations, Jonathan Mandel, has also been promoted.
Mandel is now head of digital sales and operations, and will be responsible for driving on-network digital revenue for SCA with a focus on audio, social, video and display.
According to SCA, the new team will work “independently” from its radio sales team.
The media company’s chief executive, Grant Blackley, last week told reporters he hopes LiSTNR will be taken up by 15 million Australians aged over 18 and hinted at more talent acquisitions following the move into live talk radio with shock jock Steve Price.

Kim Norman, Angie Stavros and Jonathan Mandel will take on new roles as part of Southern Cross Austereo’s (SCA) new digital audio sales leadership structure.
SCA chief sales officer, Brian Gallagher, unveiled the restructure off the back of the launch of SCA’s new home for digital audio, LiSTNR, and also revealed the digital and podcast sales teams will merge to form a national digital audio sales team.
Head of podcast sales, Norman, is now head of commercial – podcast and partnerships in a role change that will see her manage the commercial relationship between LiSTNR Original Podcasts and Sales.

SCA continues digital growth, with 70% climb in unique listeners
Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) data shows the broadcaster is experiencing continued growth on the digital side of the business, with unique listeners at 1.5 million in November.
This puts November’s unique listeners on par with the September figure, and slightly above the October figure of 1.4 million, however it represents a 70% increase year-on-year.
Listening hours were 10.3 million, down slightly on September and October’s figure of 10.5 million, but again up year-on-year. The November year-on-year increase in listening hours was 29%.
Smart speaker listening hours sat at 2.4 million, on on par with October, but a 61% increase year-on-year.
