KELOWNA, B.C. – The collapse of a crane at a British Columbia construction site killed four workers and a search was on Tuesday for a man under the rubble of an adjacent building, RCMP say.
Insp. Adam MacIntosh told a news conference the men killed were working at the site in Kamloops on Monday when the upper portion of the crane toppled from above the 25-storey residential tower and crashed into a neighbouring building.

The missing man, who is presumed dead, was working in that building and police are hoping to recover his body from the rubble later on Tuesday, MacIntosh said.
Police said another man was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

KELOWNA, B.C. – A specialized team of first responders from Vancouver has arrived in Kelowna, B.C., to begin the work of trying to recover the body of a missing man under the rubble of a building next to a construction site where a crane collapsed, killing four people.
Assistant chief David Boone of Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services said firefighters, paramedics, police and an engineer are part of the heavy urban rescue team, one of six such teams in Canada.
