Clarissa May Titus Damon was born on May 5, 1926 in Auburn, daughter of Rethwell Springer and Doris Mae Leslie Titus. She grew up and attended elementary school in North Auburn. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1944 where her yearbook described her as a person who “hails everyone with a smile that makes her eyes twinkle”. That twinkle and smile defined her life.
